ENDOSCOPY

Family medicine is a general medical field which provides continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family. Many physicians who specialize in family medicine choose to provide continuance of care by performing minimally invasive non-surgical procedures in an outpatient setting.

One of these procedures performed regularly at Mackinaw Surgery Center is an endoscopy which is performed to examine a person’s digestive tract. Using an endoscope, which is small a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it, the physician can view pictures of your digestive tract on a color TV monitor. Being able to use your own physician in a comfortable environment is another way our physicians provide peace of mind to their patients.
